Empowering Parents of Dyslexic Learners: The Right to Read Podcast

Jennifer Bernheim, founder of Right to Read Advocacy, is bringing her experience and passion for supporting dyslexic learners to a new podcast, Right to Read, created in collaboration with Verso Studios at The Westport Library. Timed with Dyslexia Awareness Month, this podcast is designed to help parents better understand the challenges of dyslexia, offering practical advice on early identification, multi-sensory learning strategies, and how to work effectively with schools.

“The Right to Read podcast shares stories and insights that empower parents and advocates,” says Bernheim. “You’ll find guidance on accessing resources, understanding educational laws, and supporting dyslexic thinkers at home and in the classroom.”

The first three 20-minute episodes are now available, with new episodes releasing bi-weekly. You can tune in on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and through the Verso Studios Community Partner Podcasts page.

For more information, check out the Westport Library’s site or read the story on Hamlet Hub.
